Night Diving in Camiguin: A Magical Underwater Adventure

Camiguin, the “Island Born of Fire,” is a dream destination for travelers and divers alike. While day dives reveal vibrant marine life, night diving in Camiguin offers a magical experience where the underwater world comes alive under the glow of torchlight.

For our night dive, we joined Camiguin Souldivers, a highly rated dive shop offering dives for ₱1,700 per session (includes guide, equipment, and dive fees). They made the experience smooth, safe, and unforgettable.

This shore dive was beginner-friendly, with no currents, clear visibility, and a maximum depth of 12.5 meters, allowing for 56 minutes of pure underwater bliss.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we slipped into the water and were greeted by the reef’s nocturnal magic. Bioluminescent plankton sparkled with every movement, creating a surreal “starry night” effect underwater. But the real highlight? A sleeping green sea turtle, nestled quietly among the coral. Watching it in its tranquil state, illuminated by our torches, was awe-inspiring and deeply humbling.

Night diving isn’t just about the creatures you meet—it’s about the quiet stillness of the ocean at night. The hum of your breathing, the soft glow of your torch, and the occasional flicker of marine life create an otherworldly experience that feels deeply personal.

If you’re exploring dive options in Camiguin, here are other reputable dive shops:
